The Haogang site
is the site of the earliest finding of vestiges in Dongguan.
Dating back some 5,000 years and belonging to the Neolithic
era, the site was found in the city center, which is
a rare event even at a national level, thus adding to
the significance of the site. Important remains and
two of the most complete skeletons ever found in the
Pearl River Delta were unearthed there. The Haogang
Mound site is called by experts as Ħ°The First Village
of the Pearl River DeltaĦħ. At present, it is considered
important evidence that proves the existence of a prehistoric
and ancient civilization in Dongguan. Many tourists
are attracted to the site due to its cultural and archeological
value.
