is attached to environment protection education for children.
In all schools and kindergartens of
the city, the Green School program has been launched,
reaching nearly 820,000 participants.
Through this program, the participants
have a hands-on experience and take pilot environment
protection courses so as to spread the knowledge beyond
the classroom walls. At the same time, the participants’
families take part in public awareness activities thus
forming an inclusive atmosphere enjoyed and supported
by everyone.
By the end of 2005, there are all
together 5 national-level, 15 provincial-level, and
172 municipal-level green schools in addition to a provincial
level green education base.
